I am the primary caregiver, but have had help from this amazing agency for over a year now. The office personnel are exceptional, as they call regularly to check up on how my husband is doing and truly want to know if anything has changed. Our personal caregiver is outstanding. We have been with numerous agencies over the years and she is simply perfection. If an occasion arises and she can’t make it to shift they will send someone else all the while alerting us , with sufficient time so that we can change plans, if need be. “The agency provides a caregiver for my ex-spouse who has Alzheimer’s. We have a caregiver that is dedicated to him and has experience with Alzheimer’s patients. She is very easy to deal with when I see her in person at his house. She gives reports to the agency so that they have it on file. She is typically on time and if for some reason she will be late the agency will let me know immediately. The agency is also quick to provide a back up if the dedicated caregiver is not able to be at his house that day. The agency is very responsive to my requests.”

“Recently, we hired Avalon Essential Home Care to have a caregiver sitting with my mom overnight. She had suffered a series of falls, and it was clear that she was going to need help and supervision at night, even though she lived in an assisted living. Avalon Essential was great. Everybody over there from the receptionist all the way to ownership showed an interest in making sure my mom had everything she needed to succeed. They promptly dealth with any scheudling issues that came up, so that we never had to worry about whether someone would show up on time. My mom was happy with the caregivers who came out. They were primarily ensuring that she did not fall during nighttime trips to the bathroom, so we cannot really speak to their other abilities. That stated, in speaking with the caregivers, overall they expressed experience in caregiving from working jobs in rehabs, hospitals, and the like. I was impressed, and my mom was comfortable. I would recommend this agency without hesitation.”
